Ivory sheets :
Le martien (Haut-parleur Philips 2113) by G. Cuciuc.

Restoration :
The Rosengart battery charger by J. Cudraz.
I began the restoration of this battery charger somewhat particular because of its rectifier principle. This appliance is one of Lucien Rosengart’s numerous inventions, creator of the famous brand of cars (1928-1955).
An ancient transistors radio receiver : the Philips L3F73T by Y. Antonini.
I found this radio on a flea market at Libercourt (20 km east of Lens, Pas-de-Calais), on October 11th, 2008. I got it for 15 euros, because it was in good condition, with a not degraded cabinet, what justified this price, which can be considered quite affordable. It seems that this model is identical, or at least comparable, to Radiola RA328T. It has also some mechanical resemblances and common circuits with the Radiola model RA389T, that I have already presented and described in the Radiofil magazine N°18 of January-February 2007.

Realization :
Microdyne and Piou-Piou by P. Dehayes.
The author likes the radios with unique tube. He likes their modesty and their simplicity, which make their construction easy. They are not common but very appreciated if we consider the craze which they arouse and the high prices they reach during stock exchanges or on the sites of bids.

History of techniques :
Sparks transmitter in Eiffel Tower by J-C. Montagné.
Thanks to the diligence of our friend radiofiliste Yvon Bouquillon that the main parts of this transmitter were carried into the collection of the 8th Regiment of Transmissions in Mont-Valérien at Suresnes. And thus I was allowed to go and contemplate this dinosaur of the radio.
The speaking chocolate by P. Charbon.
Part 1
If I say you that the first European gramophone using records engraved in depth was designed by a chocolate maker, you think that I am kidding. And nevertheless, I really tell the truth. So, let me tell you this outstanding story.

Atelier :
The hummings by Wladimir Sorokine.
Generally in receivers working on mains, hum can originate by application of an alternative voltage in grid or plate circuits, especially in the audio stage. Obviously, hum is higher as the alternative parasitic voltage is raised or as the gain of the amplifier which follows the affected circuit is higher.

Press review :
French and foreign 2010 press review by P. Demerseman, J-C. Montagné.
More than 200 papers were published in the bulletins of our German, American, English, Australian, Dutch and Swiss colleagues. The titles of the more interesting papers are referenced.
